The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement that "the young man, Malek Ali Al-Hattab (19 years old), died of critical wounds he sustained from Israeli occupation forces' bullets in Jalazone camp, early Monday morning."
Earlier today, Palestinian medical sources reported that they treated three people injured by live ammunition during the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the Jalazone camp.
She explained that "one of the injured was shot in the abdomen with live bullets, and two others in the limbs. All of them were taken to the hospital for treatment."
During the raid, Israeli forces conducted searches of several buildings and shops, which included violent confrontations with young men. Israeli soldiers used live ammunition and tear gas, and arrested a number of citizens.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces arrested a young Palestinian man after he was shot with live ammunition on Tuesday, and also assaulted an elderly man in the city of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that an Israeli force stormed Nablus at dawn today, surrounded a house in the Ta'awun neighborhood, and deployed to several nearby neighborhoods in the city. The sources indicated that Israeli forces fired live ammunition at a young man, wounding him before arresting him.
In this context, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews in Nablus dealt with "an 86-year-old man who sustained bruises as a result of being physically assaulted by the Israeli army."
The Red Crescent stated in a statement that the elderly man was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
settler attacks
Meanwhile, settler groups continued their attacks on Palestinians and their property. The Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights reported that settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles north of Jericho with stones, damaging one vehicle. Settlers also attacked Bedouins and shepherds near the village of al-Duyuk al-Tahta, west of the city, and vandalized their homes.
In another attack, settlers attacked a citizen while he was herding cows in the Jabaris area of the northern Jordan Valley. Two calves were stolen from him, and a third was run over and killed.
Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque
On another note, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a large-scale incursion by settlers under heavy protection from the occupation police, on the third day of the Jewish Passover holiday.
The Islamic Endowments Department reported that more than 1,220 settlers stormed the mosque's courtyards from the Mughrabi Gate, performing provocative religious rituals, including dancing and chanting inside the courtyards. Video clips were also captured of groups of settlers singing and celebrating near the Lions' Gate.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the occupation police had transformed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings into a military barracks, and imposed strict measures that included preventing Palestinians from entering, confiscating their ID cards, and expelling two worshippers from the mosque.
Yesterday, Monday, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a large-scale incursion in which 1,149 settlers participated . A number of them performed the "priestly blessings" ritual, a traditional biblical rite that usually accompanies the offering of "sacrifices."
