The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the General Authority for Civil Affairs (the Palestinian liaison with Israel) informed it of the martyrdom of the child Omar Muhammad Saada Rabie (14 years old) by the occupation forces' bullets in the town of Turmus Ayya.
In a separate statement, the ministry reported that "two children were seriously injured and others slightly injured at the Istishari Hospital in Ramallah after being shot by a settler in the town of Turmus Ayya."
Earlier on Sunday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces “fired live bullets at three children while they were on the street adjacent to the town, wounding them,” adding that “one of them, Omar Muhammad Saada Rabie (14 years old), was arrested before being declared dead, while the other two children were transferred to receive treatment at a medical center in the neighboring village of Abu Falah.”
The Red Crescent Society said in a brief statement that it had transferred two children (14 and 15 years old) from the village of Abu Falah to receive treatment at the hospital. One of them was shot in the abdomen, and the other in the thigh.
Arrests
At dawn on Monday, the Israeli occupation forces raided a number of camps and towns in the West Bank, carrying out a wide-scale arrest campaign against Palestinians.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation army carried out a series of raids concentrated in the Balata refugee camp in the city of Nablus and a number of its neighborhoods (north), the Jalazone and Amari camps in the Ramallah governorate (central), the Qalandia camp north of Jerusalem, and several towns, in addition to the city of Qalqilya (north).
Witnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out arrests targeting dozens of Palestinians, particularly in the Jalazone refugee camp and the city of Qalqilya.
They reported that the occupation forces destroyed the contents of homes during the search operation in Jalazone camp and transferred dozens of Palestinians for field investigation.
In Qalqilya, the occupation army carried out an arrest campaign that included at least seven Palestinians.
Israel has continued its military aggression on the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates (north) since January 21, which has included "systematic arrests and field investigations targeting dozens of families, in addition to the detention of citizens as hostages and the conversion of homes into military barracks."
