On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation army admitted to killing a Palestinian child, claiming he had attempted to throw an explosive device at its soldiers. This brings the number of Palestinian martyrs in Jenin Governorate since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the city and its camp 93 days ago to 40.
In the town of Ein al-Baida in the Tubas Governorate in the West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that two citizens were injured by Israeli occupation forces' bullets during their raid on the town.
Sources in the Red Crescent Society told the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, that occupation forces blocked the ambulance heading to the village at the Ain al-Baida junction and prevented it from passing, noting that there were appeals from citizens due to the presence of injuries.
A number of citizens, including a child, were injured and bruised after the Israeli occupation forces assaulted them during a raid on the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.
Wafa reported, citing local sources, that an Israeli army force stormed the town, took up positions in several neighborhoods, and assaulted and injured a number of citizens, including the child Ahmed Mohammed Deiryeh (14 years old), who suffered bruises all over his body and head wounds.
In a related development, five Palestinians were injured by settler gunfire in the village of Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank. Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the outskirts of the village and attempted to steal livestock. They then began firing live ammunition at residents who attempted to confront them.
Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that settlers attacked an area west of Bardala, setting fire to residential tents and livestock pens belonging to a resident. Nearby intersections also witnessed a heavy presence of settlers, protected by Israeli army and police forces.
In the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to seven Palestinian homes and five vehicles on Wednesday.
Sinjil Mayor Moataz Tawafsha said, "The town was subjected to the second attack in a few days, as groups of settlers attacked the northern and southern lands of the town, in addition to lands in the neighboring village of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya." Tawafsha explained that the settlers burned more than seven homes and five vehicles belonging to residents of the town and Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya. He pointed out that the attackers had previously set up a settler tent near the targeted area.
He added, "Large groups of settlers armed with weapons, sticks, and stones attacked the homes and set them on fire." Tawafsha confirmed that the targeted area is devoid of settlements and includes an archaeological site known as "Khirbet al-Tall," which is inhabited by a small number of Palestinians. This prompted the settlers to exploit the state of emergency and the war on Gaza to attempt to seize control of this vast territory.
"The goal is to control the lands south of Sinjil, isolate the town completely, and turn it into a prison-like structure," he said. Tawafsha noted that a young Palestinian man was killed and several residents were injured while attempting to extinguish fires set by settlers in the town last Monday.
Earlier on Monday, eyewitnesses reported that settlers attacked Sinjil and burned Palestinian property. They noted that clashes erupted "between Palestinians and settlers who attacked the town under the protection of the Israeli army, which did nothing to prevent them from vandalizing property."
On Monday, a Palestinian died of suffocation following an attack by settlers on Sinjil, during which they burned rural homes and property and assaulted civilians.
According to data from the Palestinian governmental Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli settlers carried out 860 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during the first three months of 2025, including "raids into Palestinian cities and communities, attacks on property, and the bulldozing of land," among other incidents.
Concurrent with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli military and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of more than 956 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400, according to Palestinian data.
