Jakarta - Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Jared Gooden announced his retirement from mixed martial arts after losing to Mahamed Aly at the Shogun Fights event.
"I want to take this time to let everyone know that my time has come. I will be leaving this sport," Jared Gooden said via his personal X account monitored in Jakarta, Wednesday.
After losing his last fight in Hanover, United States on Saturday (29/3), Gooden decided to hang up his gloves to end his 10-year fighting career which included 34 fights.
The American fighter said he wants to focus on raising his daughter while pursuing other projects.
"I'm going to hang up my gloves for now, and I can't wait to tell you guys what I'm going to do next with my life," he said.
