The 28th week duel of the Indonesian League 1 between Persija Jakarta and Persebaya Surabaya at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Saturday night, ended in a 1-1 draw.
In this match, Rayhan Hannan in the 61st minute brought Persija ahead first through his accurate kick when he deceived Ernando Ari from a narrow angle when the Persebaya goalkeeper came out of his goal.
It didn't take long for Persebaya to change the score back to a draw after three minutes, Flavio Silva's header beat Carlos Eduardo to make the score 1-1.
Persija, who played as the host, started their threat through Hanif Sjahbandi's long-range shot in the 5th minute. However, it was still far from the target.
After that, Persija dominated the game, but they always had difficulty penetrating Persebaya's solid defense guarded by the central defender duo Dime Dimov and Slavko Damjanovic.
Carlos Pena's team began to penetrate the Bajul Ijo defense in the last 15 minutes of the first half, starting with a hard left-footed kick from Dony Tri Pamungkas in the 33rd minute which was still blocked by Ernando Ari.
In the 37th minute, Ryo Matsumura tried his luck, but his shot still flew. A minute later, the Japanese player got a better chance when he shot from inside the penalty box. However, his shot was still easily caught by Ernando.
