Surabaya - The management of Surabaya Zoo is optimistic that the target of attracting 100 thousand visitors during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr holiday can be achieved.
"We have a target for visitors, until the end of the event, we can reach the target of 100 thousand visitors for nine days," said KBS Operations Director, Nurika Widyasanti, in Surabaya, East Java, Thursday.
This optimism is because the management has prepared a number of additional entertainment during this Eid holiday.
"To attract visitors, we will definitely add new rides, including a rainbow slide and a 7D cinema," he said.
With this addition, Nurika added, the enthusiasm of tourists has begun to be seen, reaching tens of thousands every day since D+2 of Eid.
Not only that, several new animals are also exhibited to attract the interest of visiting tourists.
"In 2025, we will bring in diversity for the types of aves (birds), the gala cockatoo has reddish-grey wings, there were also green macaws, ostriches, and birds of paradise here yesterday," said Nurika.
The tourists who come are not only from the Greater Surabaya area but also from Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Lamongan or what is commonly called the Gerbang Kertasusila area.
