Bhayangkara Presisi FC Chief Operating Officer (COO) Sumardji has set a high target for his team in the Indonesian League 1 next season, after securing promotion from the Indonesian League 2 along with PSIM Yogyakarta and Persijap Jepara.
At the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) event between Bhayangkara and the Lampung Provincial Government (Pemprov) in Jakarta, Tuesday, Sumardji said his target was "not half-hearted" because he wanted his team to become champions again like in the 2017 season.
"We will not do things half-heartedly, we will make Bhayangkara champions, meaning the targets that have been agreed upon and committed to, what are the ideals and hopes," said Sumardji.
If they do not win, Sumardji is confident that his team will at least finish in the top three. The top three position is also Bhayangkara's best achievement after winning. They won the top three positions in the league twice, namely in the 2018 and 2021/2022 seasons.
"I am sure Bhayangkara will play at least in the top three," explained Sumardji.
