Sudan sticks to its case against the UAE before the International Court of Justice

Ambassador Kamal Bashir, representative of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed Sudan's commitment to its case against the UAE before the International Court of Justice in The Hague tomorrow, Thursday, explaining that the country "has sufficient evidence."

The ambassador explained at an enlightening conference for the Ministry of Culture and Information, organized by the Sudan News Agency today at the General Intelligence Service hall in Port Sudan, that "Sudan has sufficient evidence to condemn the UAE for its major role in fueling the war in Sudan through its support and backing of the Rapid Support Forces."

He pointed out "the massive destruction that Sudan has suffered in all areas due to the UAE's support for the Rapid Support Forces in its war on Sudan."

The ambassador reviewed "Sudan's efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to those affected by the war," and renewed his "salute to the Sudanese people, who stood united in the face of the conspiracy against Sudan's sovereignty, stability, and peace."

UAE presidential advisor Anwar Gargash previously attacked the Sudanese government for filing a complaint against his country at the International Court of Justice, describing the move as an attempt to drag his country into the conflict.

The UAE also denounced Sudan's complaint to the International Court of Justice, describing it as a "malicious propaganda ploy."

The International Court of Justice announced at the end of last March that it would consider a lawsuit filed by Sudan, in which it requested emergency measures against the UAE, accusing it of violating its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
