Suarez confirms Messi wants to play in 2026 World Cup.

Luis Suarez, who is known as Lionel Messi's best friend, revealed that Messi has no plans to retire and is determined to lead Argentina in the 2026 World Cup.

“Retirement? Leo Messi wants to play at the 2026 World Cup with Argentina,” Suarez told Uruguayan outlet Ovacion, as reported by BeSoccer on Monday.

Suarez, who is already 38 years old, also admitted that he is not thinking about hanging up his boots in the near future.

"We (Messi and I) have not discussed retirement because we still plan to play," said Suarez.

Both play in Major League Soccer (MLS). This season, Messi is still showing his magic by scoring eight goals in 10 matches.
