Palembang - The South Sumatra Provincial Transportation Agency has put 920 personnel on standby to support smooth land traffic during the return flow of Eid 1446 Hijri/2025.
Head of the South Sumatra Transportation Agency, Arinarsa JS in Palembang, Thursday said that in anticipation of traffic jams during the 2025 Eid homecoming, 920 personnel have been put on standby spread across 17 districts and cities in South Sumatra.
"We will continue to anticipate traffic jams for the return flow. When there is traffic jam, officers in the field will clear it up as soon as possible. We are also still alerting 920 personnel from the transportation department throughout South Sumatra to help with traffic," he said.
Then, for the Palembang-Betung toll road section 2 Rengas/Musi Landas-Pangkalan Balai Toll Gate, Banyuasin Regency will resume operations from March 2 to March 8, 2025.
The 33 km toll road, which is back in operation, will be opened and closed from morning to evening or 07.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB.
"The toll road that is functional will be implemented one-way from Pangkalan Balai-Musi Landas on March 2-8, 2025. Travelers who bring four-wheeled vehicles from Jambi or Betung towards Palembang can enter via the toll road," he explained.
Meanwhile, vehicles from Palembang to Jambi will use the regular road and will no longer be allowed to enter the toll access.
