Recognize the danger signs of "post holiday blues" after a long holiday

Jakarta - Returning to routine after a long holiday in popular psychology terms is called post holiday blues , where there is a significant difference between the freedom during the holiday and the demands of the daily routine.

Adult clinical psychologist who graduated from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, Teresa Indira Andani, M.Psi., Psychologist, said that although many people expect that vacations can increase happiness in the long term, research shows that the positive effects of vacations do not last long after someone returns to their routine.

"After enjoying a fun holiday, many people experience post-holiday blues , which is a feeling of laziness, lack of enthusiasm, or even stress when having to return to work or school routines. This is normal because there is a big gap between the free holiday atmosphere and the routine full of responsibilities," Teresa told ANTARA via text message, Friday.
