Jakarta - PT Pupuk Indonesia noted that it had distributed 1.7 million tons of subsidized fertilizer throughout the first quarter of 2025.
President Director of Pupuk Indonesia Rahmad Pribadi in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday said that the number increased by more than 30 percent compared to the same period last year.
This increase is supported by the government's distribution acceleration policy and the digitalization of the distribution system through the i-Pubers platform.
For 13 years, Pupuk Indonesia has continued to transform, adapt, and become one of the backbones of national fertilizer providers.
"We are here to ensure that Indonesia's agricultural productivity is maintained. This is part of a long-term commitment to present a resilient and sustainable food system," he said.
He emphasized that this achievement was part of the company's efforts to ensure that national agricultural productivity was maintained.
The increase in the distribution of subsidized fertilizer cannot be separated from the optimization of the supply chain carried out by Pupuk Indonesia.
The company implements a digitalization system through i-Pubers that allows farmers to redeem fertilizer with just an ID card and track fertilizer distribution in real time to the kiosk. With this system, the effectiveness and transparency of fertilizer distribution are increasingly guaranteed.
For more than a decade, Pupuk Indonesia has significantly increased the production capacity and efficiency of national fertilizer raw material consumption with the operation of Petrokimia Gresik's Ammonia Urea II Plant and Kaltim Fertilizer Plant V in 2015, PIM's NPK Plant in 2023, and Petrokimia Gresik's Phonska V in 2024.
Not only that, efforts to increase energy efficiency are also carried out by revamping production facilities in various subsidiaries.
In addition, Pupuk Indonesia also continues to encourage farmer empowerment through the MAKMUR Program.
The program presents an integrated agribusiness approach that includes intensive mentoring, access to quality agricultural inputs, and increased access to financing.
Until the first quarter of 2025, the program has succeeded in realizing 151 thousand hectares of land and involving 128 thousand farmers throughout Indonesia.
