 PSSI through PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia (GSI) on Monday announced that it would again hold the 2025 Pertiwi U-14 and U-16 Cup tournaments.

"We have set a target of 32 teams in each region, 5,760 female soccer players involved, 120 female coaches involved, and 62 female referees involved in the implementation of this competition," said PT GSI President Director Marsal Masita at a press conference in Serpong, Tangerang, Monday.

The 14 and 16 year olds were selected to continue the Djarum Foundation program which has routinely held the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, a girls' soccer tournament between Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and Elementary Schools, for the U-10 and U-12 categories in eight districts/cities since 2023.

Milklife Soccer Challenge Program Director Teddy Tjahjono stated that his party wanted a sustainable program from the soccer coaching pyramid, so the idea of ​​the U-14 and U-16 competitions emerged.

"We thank PSSI for giving us the opportunity to collaborate on the Pertiwi Cup," said Teddy.

This tournament uses a national series format and uses an All Star system that brings together the best players from 16 cities at the regional level.

The sixteen cities are Tangerang, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang, Surabaya, Kudus, Jakarta, Malang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, Samarinda, Makassar, Medan, Palembang, and Jayapura.
