Persis Solo avoids relegation after winning 1-0 at Barito Putera headquarters

Persis Solo avoided the relegation zone after winning 1-0 at PS Barito Putera's headquarters in the 29th week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Demang Lehman Martapura Stadium, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, Saturday night.

Persis Solo player Eky Taufik registered his name on the scoreboard in the 57th minute, the only goal brought his team up two places to 13th position in the standings with 29 points from a total of 29 matches including seven wins, eight draws, and 14 losses. Meanwhile, Barito Putera dropped to 14th position with 29 points.

"This victory is very important, the players showed their full strength at Barito's home ground," said Persis Solo Coach Ong Kim Swee (OKS) in a press conference after the match.

OKS said his team was able to make a positive decision in every attack that was built. This victory gave a change in the standings and a breath of fresh air for Persis Solo to avoid relegation in the remaining five matches of the 2024/2025 season.
