The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that the death toll from Israel's genocide against Palestinians has risen to 51,065 martyrs and 116,505 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The ministry stated that the death toll from the Israeli offensive since it resumed on March 18 has reached 1,691, with 4,464 wounded. The ministry also reported that 40 martyrs and 73 wounded arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours.

In this context, the Civil Defense in Gaza explained in a statement that the Israeli bombing today, Thursday, resulted in a "new Israeli crime" against Palestinian citizens, as more than 15 martyrs were recovered, most of them women and children, after the targeting of tents of displaced people in the area at the end of Al-Istable Street in the Mawasi area of ​​Khan Yunis (southern Gaza).

The statement added that the bombing caused fires to break out in the tents, burning the bodies and the injured.

A medical source reported that the martyrs included five children and four women. Civil Defense also reported that the bodies of a child and his father were recovered, and seven others were injured in an Israeli attack on a tent housing displaced persons near the Taiba Towers, west of Khan Yunis.

Separately, paramedics reported that an Israeli helicopter bombed the home of the Abu Dan family in the Armida area of ​​the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, resulting in injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces destroyed residential buildings north of Rafah and opened artillery fire on northern areas of Rafah and southern Khan Yunis.

In the northern Gaza Strip, a medical source announced that an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced persons on New Interior Street in Jabalia, killing seven Palestinians, all members of the Asaliya family, including the husband, wife, and their five children. Another 15 people were injured.

Civil Defense also reported the recovery of six martyrs and wounded as a result of an Israeli attack on a displaced persons' tent in the Beit Lahia project area in the northern Gaza Strip.

In central Gaza, a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone strike on a gathering of civilians east of the Nuseirat camp.

The Israeli occupation forces continued their artillery shelling of the northern part of Al-Bureij camp and the area northeast of Nuseirat, while the western coast of Nuseirat camp was subjected to shelling from Israeli gunboats.
