PT KAI Regional Operations (Daop) 2 Bandung revealed that more than 800 thousand passengers departed and arrived in their area during the 2025 Eid Transportation period.
"During the 22-day Eid al-Fitr transportation period, starting from March 21 to April 11, 2025, KAI Daop 2 Bandung has served more than 828 thousand long-distance train customers," said Executive Vice President of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Dicky Eka Priandana in Bandung, Sunday.
The number of more than 800 thousand passengers, said Dicky, consisted of 420,468 departing customers, then 408,475 passengers arriving in the Daop 2 Bandung area.
"For occupancy during the 2025 Eid Transportation period, it is 117.6 percent of the 355,996 seats provided during that period," he said.
Dicky said that during the 2025 Eid Transportation period, zero accidents were recorded in Daop 2 Bandung, which he said was the result of hard work from all levels and good collaboration between agencies, as well as a commitment to providing the best service to the public during the Eid homecoming and return period.
In order to support passenger comfort and safety, KAI Daop 2 Bandung optimizes various supporting services, especially lost and found services and health posts at various stations in the Daop 2 Bandung area.
For the health post, which was set up at the Daop 2 Bandung area station during the Eid transportation period, it is operated by a medical team that is on duty 24 hours a day, to ensure that customers' health conditions remain prime during the trip.
"We understand that the homecoming and return flow can be tiring, therefore we present health services as a form of our concern for customer safety and comfort," said KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo.
In order to ensure the safety of train travel, KAI Daop 2 Bandung also conducted random drug checks on railway crews and other operational officers. A total of 48 officers were checked during the 2025 Eid Transportation with all results being negative.
