The Ministry of Communication and Digital prioritizes auctioning the 1.4 GHz frequency band spectrum compared to other currently available frequency bands, namely 700 MHz, 2.6 GHz, and 26 GHz because it is considered useful for accelerating the provision of cheap internet.
"In terms of timeline, the frequency auction will be carried out for the 1.4 GHz band first because we need a quality fixed broadband (BWA) internet solution at an affordable price," said the Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Wayan Toni Supriyanto, in a short message to ANTARA, Thursday.
According to Wayan, the provision of internet with fixed broadband technology or fixed network internet allows internet services to be accessed at low prices.
