Minister of PKP: Handover of 100 subsidized house keys for journalists on May 6

Jakarta - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) revealed that the handover of 100 keys to subsidized houses for journalists was carried out on May 6, 2025.

"We have set the date for May 6 at 16:00, for the point we will discuss it again later, directly (handing over) 100 subsidized house keys for journalists. I believe the Ministry of Communication and Digital will coordinate with the Press Council and the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI)," said Ara in a press conference, in Jakarta, Tuesday.

The handover of 100 subsidized housing keys for journalists is part of the total subsidized housing allocated for journalists, amounting to 1,000 housing units.

Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait together with Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid and Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Subsidized Housing Support for Journalists between the Ministry of PKP and the Ministry of Communication and Digital with the Central Statistics Agency.

"I am very happy as Minister to be able to work together as directed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and this is good for journalists who always voice the truth and democracy," said Ara.
