Several tech-focused websites have reported that Meta is developing a new generation of smart glasses equipped with artificial intelligence technology.
According to Digitaltrends, Meta is currently developing and testing its new smart glasses, which are expected to launch in the third quarter of this year, priced at approximately $1,000.
In appearance, the new glasses will resemble traditional sunglasses, but their lenses will support augmented reality technology to display information directly before the user's eyes. Unlike previous Meta glasses, the glasses will be able to process data without needing to be connected to a phone or smart device, as their body will contain a processor with exceptional data processing capabilities.
The main feature of the new glasses will be advanced artificial intelligence. Thanks to these technologies, the glasses will be able to recognize objects. For example, when you look at a historic building, they will tell you about its history, and when you look at a restaurant menu, they will translate the menu for you.
The glasses will feature two high-resolution cameras to document what the user sees. They will also be equipped with microphones that enable the user to control them via voice commands and use the glasses to make voice calls. The glasses' internal battery will last approximately eight hours on a full charge.
