martyrs since the resumption of the aggression on Gaza... and warnings of a worsening medicine shortage crisis due to the blockade.

The ministry said in its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the Israeli genocide: "17 martyrs and 69 wounded arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours."

She added, "The death toll and injuries since March 18, 2025 (the date the genocidal war resumed) has reached 1,630 martyrs and 4,302 injuries," noting that "a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, unable to be reached by ambulance and civil defense crews."

9 Palestinians martyred

Nine Palestinians, including a medical worker, were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Tuesday, as part of the ongoing war of extermination, now in its nineteenth month.

Israeli airstrikes, drones, and artillery targeted civilian tents and homes in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.

In one of the deadliest attacks this morning, an employee at the Kuwaiti field hospital was killed after medical personnel and civilians were directly targeted near the hospital gate in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Three Palestinians were killed and others injured when an Israeli drone bombed a tent camp housing displaced people behind the Ribat College in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. A Palestinian woman was killed and several others injured when an Israeli warplane bombed the Ashour family's home in the Tahlia area of Khan Yunis.

In the central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed and others were injured by Israeli artillery shelling targeting civilians collecting firewood northeast of the Bureij refugee camp. In the north, two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Beit Lahia Project area.

Artillery targeted the western areas of Beit Lahia, while an Israeli helicopter fired directly at civilian homes and the eastern parts of the city. A Palestinian was killed after a drone targeted a home near the al-Ghafari intersection on al-Jalaa Street in central Gaza City.

medicine shortage crisis

In the same context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned on Tuesday of a worsening medicine shortage in the Strip due to the tightened blockade and closure of crossings by the Israeli occupation army, which has been continuing its war of extermination for a year and a half.

The ministry said in a statement: "Health care in hospitals is provided based on limited stocks of medicines and medical supplies," stressing that "the medicine shortage crisis is hindering the work of medical teams in completing emergency interventions for the wounded. Hundreds of patients and wounded are without access to medicine, and their suffering is exacerbated by the closure of the crossings."

The ministry noted that "cancer, kidney failure, and heart patients are the most affected by the shortage of medicines and medical supplies," and explained that "other items on the drug list are also threatened with depletion, meaning shortage levels have increased to 37% of medicines and 59% of medical supplies."

The Ministry of Health in Gaza called on "international institutions to pressure the Israeli occupation to allow the entry of medical supplies and field hospitals."

Since March 2, Israel has continued to close the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation for Palestinians, according to government, human rights, and international reports.

Since March 18, Israel has intensified its genocidal crimes in Gaza by launching violent, widespread airstrikes, most of which targeted civilians in homes and tents housing displaced persons.

In early March, the first phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, which took effect on January 19, 2025, concluded with Egyptian-Qatari mediation and US support.
