Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has asked Chelsea fans to trust his coaching methods and believe that the London club is on the right track compared to the previous two seasons.
"In the last two years, Chelsea were not in the top four. This season we are in the top four for most of the season. I was not here last season, two years ago, I am not judged on what happened last year or two years ago. I am judged on what happened this season," Maresca was quoted as saying in a video recording on Chelsea's official website on Thursday.
"And that's why I think the fans, they have to trust us, they have to trust the team, they have to trust the club, what we're doing at the moment. This season we've spent most of the season in the top four. I think that's a big proof that the team is improving and doing the right things," he continued.
Maresca stressed that Chelsea's achievement, which currently occupies sixth place in the standings, has not satisfied him. He is still hungry to deliver titles to the club, whether in the Champions League or the Premier League.
