Malut United officially extended the contracts of Imran Nahumarury as head coach and Yeyen Tumena as technical director in a new contract signing announced today.
The club's management sees both as important figures for Laskar Kie Raha's journey in competing in national football competitions.
Imran and Yeyen have been involved in Malut United's journey since the North Maluku club was formed in 2023.
"Imran and Yeyen have made a big contribution to Malut United's achievements to date. We have agreed to continue our collaboration to take the team even further," said Malut United COO Willem D. Nanlohy on Monday.
In the hands of Imran and Yeyen, Malut United has emerged as a new team to be reckoned with.
Both of them successfully brought Laskar Kie Raha to promotion to League 1 this season after undergoing their first season in League 2 in the 2023-2024 season with third place in the competition.
The pride of Maluku and North Maluku defeated Persiraja Banda Aceh in the match for third place to accompany PSBS Biak and Semen Padang in promotion to the elite division.
They are struggling to achieve the best position in Liga 1 this season which until the 28th week, is ranked 4th in the standings with 46 points from 12 wins, 10 draws, and 6 losses. They are 3 points behind Persebaya and two points above Persija.
