Kompany confident Bayern Munich will turn things around in the second leg

Jakarta - Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said his team was "completely confident" in their chances of qualifying for the Champions League semifinals despite losing the first leg of their quarter-final to Inter Milan 1-2 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday WIB.

"We are confident and it was a shame that Inter scored in the last minutes, but we will have another chance in Milan, that's how we feel. We are completely confident in our chances in Milan," he said, as quoted by AFP, Wednesday.

In this match, Bayern was so dominant throughout the match by creating 20 shots that ended up being five big chances. However, poor finishing and the brilliance of Yann Sommer under the Inter crossbar made them only able to score one goal.

"In the first half we were very dominant. We had clear chances and should have scored more goals," Kompany said, describing the match.

"Inter are ahead, but we have to win in Milan. Results are not always fair, but this is the first half," he continued.

Harry Kane agreed with his manager, saying "there are 90 minutes to play and we have the players to turn it around."
