Indonesia voices AI as the future of all nations at the MCS 2025 forum.

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid representing Indonesia in the international technology forum Machines Can See (MCS) 2025 said that artificial intelligence ( AI ) is the future of all nations, not limited to a handful of countries.

In a panel session titled “Wanted: AI to Retain and Attract Talents to the Country,” Meutya called for the need to build an AI ecosystem that is ethical, inclusive, and reflects the world’s diversity.

"Technology must reflect the diversity of the world, not just the priorities of a handful of people," said Meutya when appearing as a speaker at the international forum "Machines Can See 2025" which took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Wednesday.

At the event, Meutya also said that Indonesia is in a very strategic phase demographically, digitally, and geopolitically to develop AI as the future and world heritage.

According to him, with more than 212 million active internet users and the status as the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia is committed to being an active part in shaping the future of global technology.

The Minister of Communication and Digital also emphasized the similarity of approaches that Indonesia has developed with BRICS countries in creating a responsible AI ecosystem.
