Hebrew media: Israel will soon receive 3,000 American air munitions to continue the Gaza war.

The newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying, "In preparation for a decisive victory in the Gaza Strip and an expansion eastward toward Iran, the Israeli army is expected to soon receive a large, concentrated shipment from the United States, including more than 3,000 munitions for the air force, as part of preparations for continued fighting in the Gaza Strip."

She explained that the US administration recently approved this shipment, which "will contribute to raising the Air Force's readiness for a large-scale operation planned by the Israeli military's Southern Command," according to the same source.

The newspaper added that "the Israeli army is also expected to receive more than 10,000 additional air-to-air munitions, which will be used to replenish stockpiles depleted by the ongoing fighting on several fronts over the past year and a half."

Yedioth Ahronoth noted that these shipments are in addition to the heavy weapons deal Israel purchased from the United States last year, which was frozen by the Joe Biden administration before President Donald Trump reactivated it in recent weeks.

Last February, the United States announced that it had approved the sale of guided munitions, bombs, and related equipment to Israel for a total value of $7.41 billion, according to the newspaper.

The Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency reported that it had conveyed to Congress the necessary approval to complete these deals, which "are aimed at preserving Israel's ability to defend itself," according to the same source.

The newspaper noted that this move is part of a larger arms deal that the Biden administration notified Congress of last January, totaling $8 billion, shortly before Trump entered the White House.

The newspaper explained that, as part of these deals, Israel will purchase, using US aid money, 3,000 Hellfire missiles, at an estimated value of $660 million, and 2,166 AGM-114 Hellfire bombs, also at the same value.

It also includes the purchase of 2,166 GBU-39 guided bombs, approximately 13,000 JDAM guidance systems for bombs of various weights, and 17,475 FMU-152A/B fuze-equipped bombs, in a separate deal valued at $6.75 billion.

Deliveries of Hellfire missiles are expected to begin in 2028, while other munitions shipments will begin arriving in 2025.

According to a previous statement by the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon), the munitions will come from existing stockpiles in the United States and from American companies such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and L3Harris. The official statement stated that "the deal will not alter the regional balance of power and will help Israel protect its borders, critical infrastructure, and population."
