Families of Israeli prisoners call for a demonstration in front of the home of the head of the negotiating team and demand an immediate exchange deal.

The organization said in a statement: "Join us this evening in front of the home of the head of the negotiating team, Ron Dreamer, and join in the chant: 'Minister Dreamer, complete the mission entrusted to you by returning the 59 abductees, first and foremost.'" The organization criticized Dreamer's performance since taking over the negotiating portfolio, stressing that "not a single prisoner has been returned during his tenure."

Israeli authorities estimate the number of prisoners held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip at 59, including 24 who are still alive. This compares to more than 9,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, many of whom suffer harsh detention conditions, including torture, starvation, and medical neglect, which have led to the deaths of several, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights reports.

The organization called on Minister Dreamer to reach an agreement to return all the abductees at once and immediately, stressing the need for him to step down if he fails to do so.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appointed Dermer last February to lead the prisoner negotiations, succeeding Mossad chief David Barnea. The move sparked criticism from the prisoners' families, who feared Netanyahu was using Dermer as a tool to disrupt the negotiations and prolong the war to serve domestic political goals related to the survival of the ruling coalition.
