Eurozone annual inflation to slow to 2.2 percent in March 2025.

Annual inflation in the Euro Zone slowed to 2.2 percent in March from 2.3 percent in February 2025.

The final estimate released by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) on Wednesday showed that the figure was in line with the preliminary estimate announced earlier.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices in the euro area rose by 0.6 percent in March, also in line with preliminary estimates.

In the European Union, annual inflation in March was recorded at 2.5 percent, down from 2.7 percent in February.

In March last year, annual inflation in the Eurozone was estimated at 2.4 percent, while the inflation rate in the EU was 2.6 percent.

Annual core inflation in the euro zone also slowed to 2.4 percent in March from 2.6 percent in February, in line with the initial estimate.

This decline was mainly due to increases in the prices of services (to 3.5 percent from 3.7 percent), as well as food, alcohol and tobacco (to 2.9 percent from 2.7 percent).
