Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives Dave Akbarshah Fikarno Laksono said that the Ministry of Communication and Digital needs to develop telecommunications device testing facilities to ensure the safety of electronic devices marketed domestically.
During a visit to the Telecommunications Device Testing Center in Depok, West Java, Wednesday, he said that the function of the telecommunications device testing facility owned by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemenkomdigi) needs to be expanded so that it can cover various electronic devices.
"Considering that digitalization is currently ongoing and currently it is prioritized for mobile devices. However, in the future it can be expanded even further, added to electronic goods, appliances that suit our needs," he said.
Along with the increasing use and sophistication of electronic devices, Dave emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of products circulating in Indonesia.
