Jakarta - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives who is also Deputy Chairman of the DPR Budget Agency, Wihadi Wiyanto, assessed that the 2025 homecoming proves that the current economic situation is still well under control.
"This homecoming has a visible economic impact, and this proves that our economic situation is still well under control. We also see the congestion that occurs, and in the regions, there is a surge of homecoming travelers, where tourism is moving, and the food and beverage industry is experiencing a significant impact," said Wihadi in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The member of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives in charge of finance explained that the sectors that were positively impacted by homecoming included transportation, accommodation, culinary, clothing, souvenirs, and recreation.
