PT KAI Operational Area (Daop) 8 Surabaya recorded that it had served 968,214 customers during the 2025 Eid Transportation period which took place from March 21 to April 11, 2025.
KAI Daop 8 Surabaya Public Relations Manager Luqman Arif said the number consisted of 481,903 customers who departed and 486,311 customers who arrived in its operational area.
"The number of departures increased by 3.2 percent compared to the previous year, which was 466,612 customers," said Luqman in his statement in Surabaya, Sunday.
The party also noted a number of favorite customer destination cities during this period, namely Jakarta with 52,803 customers, Yogyakarta with 35,334 customers, Semarang with 28,082 customers, Bandung with 13,051 customers, and Ketapang with 6,025 customers.
Meanwhile, the long-distance trains that are most widely used by customers, he said, include the Sancaka train to Yogyakarta with 36,866 customers, the Ambarawa Ekspres train to Semarang with 34,643 customers, and the Airlangga train to Pasar Senen with 21,108 customers.
Then the Kertajaya train has 19,814 customers, the Jayabaya train has 15,357 customers, the Probowangi train has 14,484 customers, the Pasundan Additional train has 14,200 customers, the Tawangalun train has 11,884 customers, the Matarmaja train has 11,453 customers and the Jayakarta train has 10,326 customers.
