Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces: We are one of the strongest armies in the world and we will not allow the enemy to commit any evil

The commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, said, "We are one of the strongest armies in the world and we will not allow the enemy to commit any evil."

"Our preparedness is now at its highest level, enabling us to establish sustainable security in our country, unlike the armed forces of the countries surrounding us," Brigadier General Heydari added in a statement on Saturday, according to IRNA .

"We do not have any dependence on foreigners in the defense industry," he continued.

Brigadier General Heidari stressed that they are committed to the system of the Guardianship of the Jurist and will never allow the enemy to commit any evil against the country.

In part of his remarks, the commander of the army's ground forces noted that Iran has a three-year plan to close and control its borders, and that significant progress has been made in this regard.

Earlier, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Hossein Salami announced that his country would not initiate war but was prepared for it.

He stressed that Israel is within their range of fire everywhere, despite American support.

Salami said: "Our enemy is within our grasp everywhere. The Zionist regime is like a wide table before us. We have learned the necessary formulas to defeat this enemy and have incorporated them into all elements of our weapons and equipment. We possess the software and hardware necessary to defeat the regime, despite America's absolute support for it."

In early March 2025, US President Donald Trump announced that he had sent a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, indicating his preference for reaching an agreement with Tehran regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

Later, the US president confirmed that Washington was considering two possible paths to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue: military or diplomatic, expressing his preference for negotiations.

Trump also threatened Iran at the end of March with a bombardment "like they've never seen before" if the republic did not agree to a new nuclear deal.
