Jakarta - Indonesian U-17 national team coach Nova Arianto asked the players to remain focused on each match even though they have been confirmed to have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup and secured a ticket to the final round of the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
"What is certain is that we are grateful to have qualified for the World Cup, and now, just like from the beginning when we came here, I ask the players to stay focused on each game. Yes, we don't want to see that we have qualified for the World Cup or if we have qualified for the World Cup, do we have to be group champions or do we have to go to the final? Well, I don't really think about it," said Coach Nova as quoted from an audio recording received by reporters, Tuesday.
"What is certain is that all matches are very important for us, and our focus remains the same and we never feel that Afghanistan is below us or above us. But I ask the players' focus to remain the same and I want to see once again all the players can perform well against Afghanistan and we still achieve the maximum result," he continued.
Coach Nova then emphasized that the players must immediately forget about their success in qualifying for the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
