Clean Tourism Movement makes Labuan Bajo a quality destination






 The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) together with the West Manggarai Regency Government, PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) and the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority Implementing Agency (BPOLBF) are rolling out the "Clean Tourism Movement (GWB)" in Labuan Bajo, NTT as a collaborative step to achieve quality and sustainable tourism.

Deputy Minister of Tourism (Wamenpar) Ni Luh Puspa said that the Clean Tourism Movement is a collective movement as a joint effort to increase thm e competitiveness of Indonesian tourism destinations that are safer and healthier for tourists.

"The Clean Tourism Movement is one of the five priority programs of the Ministry of Tourism," said Puspa in a statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.

The Clean Tourism Movement in Labuan Bajo took place in two locations, namely in the Marina Waterfront area and Pede Beach. This activity was filled with a mass waste clean-up action followed by 2,000 participants with the amount of waste collected as much as 1,080.6 kilograms.
