Jakarta - Clinical Psychologist and graduate of the University of Indonesia, Kasandra A. Putranto, said that changing sleep patterns can cause the body to experience negative impacts such as cognitive disorders and brain aging.
"Irregular sleep or lack of sleep can affect cognitive function, including attention, memory and thinking ability," said Kasandra when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta, Monday.
Kasandra said a study also showed that lack of sleep can interfere with a person's learning and memory processes.
Additionally, changes in sleep time can disrupt the circadian rhythm that regulates the body's sleep-wake cycle. This disruption can lead to further sleep problems and affect overall health.
The next impact is the increased risk of mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety. So that it can affect mood and emotions.
