Persija coach Carlos Pena has not yet thought about his job for next season even though the end of his contract with the Macan Kemayoran club is getting closer.
He is tied to a one-year contract with Persija until June 30, 2025.
"My job? No. I'm not thinking about keeping my job next season. As I always say, I'm focused on the present and right now it's the next match or the next training session," Carlos told reporters after leading the team's training at the Persija Training Center, Depok, Wednesday.
"Honestly, I'm not worried about myself. I'm here to help the team, to achieve targets, to develop my players, to improve the team and to maintain the good work we've done so far," the Spaniard continued.
Under Carlos' tutelage, Persija competed at the top at the start of the 2024/2025 season when Macan Kemayoran was in fourth place in the Liga 1 standings with 47 points, the same as the fifth-placed Malut United.
In a press conference, he stated that Persija currently has internal problems but he refused to reveal the current situation surrounding the problem.
