  Earlier, the Egyptian News Agency reported that a tripartite Egyptian-Jordanian-French summit would be held to discuss regional developments, including the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Macron arrived in Cairo on Sunday evening for a three-day visit. The French president began his visit by visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum in western Cairo and touring its historic streets, particularly Khan el-Khalili.
