Beware of neck pain due to bad habits when using gadgets.




 Medical rehabilitation specialist Inge Jiemesha said that bad habits in using electronic devices, such as looking down at the gadget screen for too long, can cause neck pain.

"This condition is known as gadget neck , which is pain that occurs due to the head being lowered for too long, such as when staring at a cellphone or laptop screen," said Dr. Inge Jiemesha, Sp.KFR from Bethsaida Hospital Gading Serpong in a press statement on Friday.

"Any body posture that is not ideal when using gadgets can cause continuous neck muscle tension. In the long term, this can reduce the quality of life," he said.

To prevent such health problems, he suggests that gadget users avoid prolonged hunched positions, use an external keyboard when working for more than 30 minutes, and position the screen at eye level.
