Arteta refuses to be complacent with the result of the first meeting against Palace

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta stressed that his team is reluctant to be complacent with the results of the first meeting against Crystal Palace ahead of the two teams meeting in the 34th week of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium, London.

Quoted from the club's official website, Wednesday, Arteta said they were trying to repeat the achievement after beating Crystal Palace with a score of 5-1 in the meeting.

"I mean, to get results like that in the Premier League, you have to do a lot of things right. We have to try to emulate that. But again, as I said, the opponent is very difficult," Arteta explained.

"If you look at the games and what they've done away from home, especially against certain opponents, it's impressive. So tomorrow we have to play very well," he added.

In this match, Arsenal is required to win in order to maintain their hopes of winning the title, even though their chances are now very slim.

Ahead of the match against Crystal Palace, Arteta said Arsenal must be vigilant because Crystal Palace under coach Oliver Glasner has a dangerous game.

Arteta said Glasner had done a fantastic job and had led Crystal Palace to compete in the middle of the Premier League standings and advance to the FA Cup semi-finals.

"I think it has given a very clear identity to the team. I think it has maximised the squad and the ability of the squad. And they are a very tough opponent," Arteta explained.
