Jakarta - Mirae Asset Sekuritas analyst Nafan Aji Gusta assessed that the Indonesian economy has the potential to experience progressive development after increased consumption during the 2025 Eid holiday.
"The crowds of entertainment centers during the 2025 Eid holiday, such as wildlife parks and beaches in various regions, open up opportunities for the domestic economy to experience progressive development," said Nafan in Jakarta, Thursday.
Nafan said several modes of transportation such as electric trains (KRL), Transjakarta, and light rail transit (LRT) were also crowded with people. Then, large stations such as Pasar Senen Station were also still crowded with homecoming travelers.
"I think this can start to stir. I think so. Hopefully it will be reflected in the economic performance results in the first quarter in particular," said Nafan.
He explained that domestic economic growth optimization usually occurs in the second quarter. This is because the Eid holiday period occurred in the middle of the year in previous years.
"Because at that time the dynamics of the holy month of Ramadan and also the Eid period did have an effect on the second quarter," he said.
Nafan views that the advancement of the Eid holiday period this year can open up opportunities for the progressive growth of the domestic economy.
"It can produce results, it can experience progressive development in my opinion from the perspective of our domestic economy," said Nafan.
