Manchester United (MU) coach Ruben Amorim said there is a possibility that Diogo Dalot will be absent until the end of the season after he confirmed that the Portuguese defender will miss the away match in the 34th week of the Premier League against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
"Dalot is out. We don't know how long he will be out, but he is out for the next game. There is a possibility (he will be out for the rest of the season) but I don't know," Amorim said at a pre-match press conference, as quoted from the Premier League's official website, Friday.
When asked what the problem was with Dalot that could see him miss the rest of the season, Amorim said "there is something in his calf muscle".
He said, this could happen for a player who played a lot of matches this season. Dalot himself has so far appeared 51 times in all competitions, making him the most players for MU this season with a total of 4,424 minutes played.
