The Houthi group announced on Wednesday that US airstrikes targeting Yemen since March 15, 2025, have killed 61 civilians and injured 139 others, according to a statement issued by the Houthi-affiliated Ministry of Health and Environment.
The statement added that the total number of civilian casualties since the beginning of Operation "Yemen Support for Gaza" until April 1, 2025, amounted to 250 dead and 714 wounded, without indicating the number of military personnel killed or wounded as a result of these raids.
In a related development, the Houthi group reported that the death toll from a US airstrike targeting a water facility in the western Yemeni governorate of Al Hudaydah had risen to four.
This came in a brief statement published by the group's Al Masirah channel on Telegram, which stated that "the death toll from the US aggression on the water authority in Mansouriya district has risen to four martyrs."
The channel added that it published footage it said showed "the American enemy targeting a water project and building in Al-Mansouriyah District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate."
Earlier on Tuesday, the channel announced the deaths of three people and the injury of three others from the organization's employees and workers in a US airstrike targeting Al Hudaydah governorate, as part of a series of raids that also targeted Saada and Hajjah governorates.
The channel reported that US aircraft launched three airstrikes on Washah district in Hajjah governorate, targeting a health center and a school. However, it did not provide details on any casualties resulting from these airstrikes.
It's worth noting that on March 15, US President Donald Trump announced his order to launch a "major offensive" against the Houthi group in Yemen, threatening to "completely eliminate the Houthis." The announcement was met with a reiteration of the group's continued support for Gaza, as it resumed bombing sites inside Israel and ships in the Red Sea.
The group responded by asserting that Trump's threat "will not deter it from continuing its support for Gaza," as it resumed bombing sites inside Israel and ships in the Red Sea heading to the territory, coinciding with Tel Aviv's resumption of its war of extermination against the Strip on March 18.
In solidarity with Gaza in the face of Israeli genocide, the Houthis have been targeting Israeli-owned or -linked cargo ships in the Red Sea or anywhere they may reach with missiles and drones since November 2023.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 164,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
