Jakarta - Minister of Trade Budi Santoso is wary of President Donald Trump's policy of potentially imposing high tariffs on United States imports from Indonesia, by preparing anticipatory steps.
"First, we anticipate Trump's policy, the policy on tariffs. We are anticipating what steps we should take. We are trying, so that we don't get affected by it," said the Trade Minister when met on the sidelines of reviewing the prices of several food commodities at Pasar Senen, Central Jakarta, Tuesday.
The Indonesian government is anticipating the impact of tariff policies to be implemented by US President Donald Trump, to maintain the stability of Indonesia's trade market.
The government is currently preparing steps that must be taken so that the impact of this policy does not harm Indonesia, especially in terms of market access to the United States.
