The dangers of dirty makeup applicators for facial skin

Jakarta - Cleaning makeup brushes or applicators is an important beauty routine but not many people do it regularly.

As written by Glamour UK, Sunday (23/3), cosmetic scientist and founder of Cosmetics a La Carte Lynne Sanders said that dirt that sticks every day from makeup brushes can cause acne, blockages, and skin irritation. The same thing also applies to beauty sponges which can cause skin to often experience rashes and spots.

Lynne also says dirty brushes will harbor mites that can live at the base of eyelashes and nose hairs, living off old skin cells and sebum. They are generally considered harmless, but may be involved in acne.
