Jakarta - Rans Simba Bogor showed their mettle as one of the strong candidates for the championship this season by defeating Pelita Jaya Jakarta 94-88 on their home turf at the Soemantri Bodjonegoro Student Arena (GMSB) Jakarta, Tuesday.
Rans, who previously defeated strong teams such as Satria Muda, Prawira Bandung, and Hangtuah Jakarta, repeated the winning scenario in the previous match which was achieved in the final minutes of the match.
Rans, who were trailing by 16 points in the third quarter, managed to turn things around to lead by 6 points after a tight first half.
Surliyadin and his friends' best performance peaked in the fourth quarter with 33 points compared to Pelita Jaya's 17 points.
Pelita Jaya appeared dominant after the break.
