Madiun - PT Industri Kereta Api or PT INKA conducted a trial of its Jabodetabek Electric Rail Train on the Solo, Central Java route, which was ordered by KAI Commuter.
"This is the first KRL trainset test of 16 trainsets ordered by KAI Commuter that will be operated in Jabodetabek," said Senior Manager of Public Relations and Representative Office of PT INKA (Persero) Nuur Aisyah in Madiun, Sunday.
He explained that the KRL facilities will be sent to Solo by being pulled by locomotives in stages from Madiun Station on March 16 to March 17, 2025. The first stage will consist of six trains and will be continued with the second stage with six trains.
"The entire train is assembled into one series consisting of 12 trains. Furthermore, parameter setting will be carried out on the Solo route on March 18, 2025," said Aisyah.
The aspects tested include acceleration tests, top speed tests (maximum speed), and braking tests.
The Solo test was attended by KAI Commuter and PT Surveyor Indonesia as consultants. Previously, a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) was conducted on March 10-12, 2025 at INKA Madiun. The test began with setting parameters and continued with a commissioning test to meet the KRL facility test parameters.
