Surabaya - Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak admitted that tactical decisions did not produce results when facing Persebaya Surabaya in the 25th week match so that his team suffered a 4-1 defeat at the Gelora Bung Tomo ( GBT ) Main Stadium, Saturday night.
"This time the risk didn't work. We had chances, scored one goal and there were two more chances that were well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. But defensively, we played too openly and that was my fault, don't blame the players," said Bojan Hondak during a press conference after the match, at the GBT Stadium in Surabaya, Saturday night.
Hodak assessed that until the first goal was scored, the match was still balanced, because his team started the match well even though not many opportunities were created in the first half.
However, he continued, after conceding in the second half, he took a risk by bringing in a young goalkeeper and playing with four attackers.
Regarding Kakang Rudianto's performance , Bojan emphasized that the substitution was not due to individual error, but rather physical factors because he began to lose energy in the middle of the second half.
"He managed to keep out Bruno , who is one of the best left-backs in the league. Maybe he was out of energy because today is the first day of fasting," he said.
Furthermore, Bojan ensured that his team is still perched at the top of the standings even though it is currently only five points behind second place, Dewa United .
"We are still the best in League 1 this season," he said.
