Jakarta - The Task Force for the Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities reminds the public to be alert and more careful of various types of fraud in the financial sector during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.
PASTI Task Force Secretariat Hudiyanto through his official statement in Jakarta, Friday, detailed several modes of fraud such as illegal online loan offers that promise a fast process to meet needs ahead of Eid as well as illegal investment offers that promise large profits in a short time.
The public is also advised to be aware of phishing schemes that lure victims into providing personal information or data via links , impersonation or fraud that uses the identity of licensed institutions to deceive victims, as well as schemes in the form of part-time job offers.
In this regard, the PASTI Task Force asks the public to be vigilant and not to click on links from unknown sources, to think logically about any offers promising quick profits without risk.
