Yogyakarta - The Chief of the Republic of Indonesia National Police General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the peak of the 2025 Eid homecoming flow is estimated to occur on Saturday (29/3) or D-2 of Eid.
"For toll roads and arterial roads, the peak of the homecoming flow is likely to be this morning (29/3), starting from evening until dawn. Especially on Java Island, because it is the (main) homecoming destination, it will reach its peak between 09.00 - 10.00 WIB," said Sigit at Tugu Station Yogyakarta, Friday night.
The Chief of Police said that the police force has prepared a number of traffic engineering schemes to anticipate the spike in the number of vehicles during peak traffic flow, starting from implementing local one-way traffic, to regulating the opening and closing of routes leading to densely populated areas.
Different from last year's Eid, according to him, the full one-way pattern from Km 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Road to Km 414 Kalikangkung during this year's Eid will be carried out in stages.
"Starting from 'one way' in West Java, then pulled to Central Java. Only if the flow cannot be held, we will do a full one way from Km 70 to Km 414," he explained.
