Ministry of Transportation sends 3,264 travelers free of charge by bus

Jakarta - The Ministry of Transportation has sent off 3,264 travelers for free using bus transportation, as part of an effort to facilitate safer and more comfortable homecoming trips for the public during the 2025/1446 Hijriah Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"A total of 3,264 passengers departed from Pulo Gebang Terminal today. This free homecoming is our annual activity," said Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi when releasing the departure of the Ministry of Transportation's free homecoming participants by bus from Pulo Gebang Terminal, East Jakarta, Thursday.

The Minister of Transportation said that this year his party is organizing free homecoming by road transportation with 520 buses to 31 destination areas.

"In total, there will be 21,536 passengers who will depart," explained the Minister of Transportation.

According to Minister of Transportation Dudy, in addition to being able to ease the burden on travelers who want to return to their hometowns, the program can also ease the burden on roads and reduce the use of motorbikes for homecoming.
