Jakarta - The Ministry of Transportation confirmed that the projection of the number of homecoming travelers for Eid al-Fitr 2025/1446 Hijriah based on the results that have been carried out will experience a decrease when compared to the previous year.
"It is true that the potential size of people's movement during this year's Eid homecoming has decreased compared to last year," said Head of the Ministry of Transportation's Communication and Public Information Bureau, Budi Rahardjo, when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta, Saturday.
Budi conveyed this when confirming the truth of the survey results conducted by the Transportation Policy Agency of the Ministry of Transportation together with academics which stated that the number of travelers for Eid 2025 is estimated to be 146.48 million people or around 52 percent of the Indonesian population, down 24 percent compared to last year which reached 193.6 million travelers.
